The problem

Assura Protect

Life Insurance Platform, UK

The problem

A UK life insurance provider needed to modernise customer acquisition and retention. Their sales process relied on manual quoting and their policyholders had no digital touchpoint after purchase.

What we built

  • Self service mobile app for policyholders with a built in rewards programme
  • Online quick quote and full quote system for customer acquisition
  • Scalable Azure hosted backend supporting app, quoting, and insurer integrations

Outcome: Digital platform covering acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing policyholder engagement. All running on a scalable Azure backend.

Mybeat Interactive

The problem

A social platform with live billing underneath. Thousands of concurrent users, millions of transactions a day, and external payment providers that went down without warning. The revenue had to keep flowing regardless.

First Online Insurance Quote & Signup

Mutual & Federal (iWyze)

The problem

South African insurance customers could not self serve. Every quote and every policy went through a call centre. Mutual & Federal wanted to change that: motor, contents, and buildings, online, in a regulated market where it had not been done.

What we built

  • Online quote and policy inception for motor, contents, and buildings insurance
  • First self service insurance platform of its kind in South Africa
  • Quoting flows covering all underwriting rules across three product lines

Outcome: The first online insurance quote and signup in South Africa. Motor, contents, and buildings, all compliant at launch.


RaceSpace Race Discovery Platform

UME-built product

The problem

Race information is scattered across event sites, social posts, club calendars, and organiser pages. Athletes need one place to search upcoming races, compare options, and plan from mobile, while organisers need another channel to reach people actively looking for events.

What we built

  • Searchable race calendar across running, cycling, triathlon, and related endurance events
  • Mobile app for race discovery and planning
  • Structured event data covering dates, locations, disciplines, distances, and organiser links
  • Discovery-focused product architecture that can grow across regions and event types

Outcome: A UME-built race search engine and calendar product that helps athletes discover events more easily and gives organisers a clearer discovery channel.


Insurance Integration & Sales Platform

Hollard

The problem

Hollard needed two things at once: an integration layer to back their online quote platform, and a sales system for call centre agents to quote and bind policies. Both in parallel. Neither an afterthought.

What we built

  • Integration layer backing the online quote platform
  • Call centre sales platform: full quote to inception in one flow
  • Shared product logic across both channels

Outcome: Two sales channels, online and agent led, built on shared product logic, delivered as one engagement.

Complex shift scheduling for radiology departments: fair rostering, rotation across sites, modality specific rules, and after hours coverage.

Asset Book

Asset tracking, inspection workflows, and maintenance management, with photo logging, audit trails, and reporting built in from the start.
